Dear Mr. Codemaster, Where Did You Go?

Time for another "where'd the Codemaster go?" post. Seems like every time I post something to this effect he wakes up from his drunken slumber, shaves off his 4 day old beard, gets himself back into shape and manages to fire off another line from his "poem".

I get the idea of wanting to control the pace of the code so that they can make it last longer, but this may be the most boring thing I've ever participated in.

I reserve the right to amend that statement if at some point during this lollygagging something substantial happens and then fun begins.

  1. So the whole thing hinges on his deliberately paced words? That's lame.

  2. Unless I'm waaaaaaaaaay off-base, and I'll be the first to admit that I could be, it appears that way.

  3. just got sucked into this. there is an anagram in the codemaster's first tweet that suggests following him is essential. anyone else crack the anagram? i'm happy to share...

  4. Is it in the name, "Reginald V. Thorpwell III"?

  5. yes. it's pretty innocuous, i think. just a tease.

  6. If the entire thing is an anagram I never worked it all out. I noted things that could be anagrammed from it. Your choice if you wish to share, it's a free world.

I've shared nearly all the takeaways I've had from this thing thus far with anyone who has emailed. I've also given away the images for every code/decipher card and the puzzle to anyone who has asked for it. But that's mostly because I'm bored and if I'm missing the big picture I'd rather someone else have all the clues to figure it out.

  7. Although, for the record, I wish the Codemaster would just give out the rest of the information necessary to solve the code.

  8. sorry, not trying to be coy. here's what I worked out:

Reginald V. Thorpwell III = I will provide large hint

Again, think it is just a tease. I don't have the time to really attack this thing, but it is intriguing and having fun following it in small doses as it unfolds.

Also just started collecting A&G this year and am really enjoying it. Was fun to read about the 2008 and 2009 puzzles. Actually just bought a set of the code cards from 2008 off of eBay, just to have. Also, have stayed away from reading about the 2010 solve -- the only thing I know is that the Celestial Stars cards are part of the puzzle. As such, have been accumulating those on eBay and hoping to fool around with that puzzle at some point in the future.

  9. Oh, also, just ordered a complete set of scans off of eBay for $15. Will likely try to collate the real deal at some point. Same for the code cards from 2009 as well. Just think it is a cool part of the A&G product and personally find then to be quite collectible given the novelty.

I do have some duplicates of the puzzle cards if you are interested just let me know. Good luck.

  12. I have a thought . . . the Codemaster should leak the rest of the information to get from Point A to Point B. :)
